All guests can interact with real vampires in Vampire Village, be chased by an actual werewolf on the River Run, and walk among the dead in Zombieville. Wyatt Baldwin, a high school student and life-long movie buff is staring bleakly at a future of flipping burgers. Due to a fortuitous circumstance, Wyatt and his friends are invited to the star-studded opening of Monsterland. MY REVIEW

Several years back, my family and I went to the local drive-in (yes! they still exist!) and saw a little movie called "Zombieland".  I've seen it about a dozen times since then.

Recently, I came across a little book called Monsterland, which does for all kinds of undead what Zombieland did for Zombies.  It's a creepy Disneyland on steroids.  There's different areas for different types of theme park experiences:  Vampire Village for those who like their monsters a little long in the tooth (sorry, couldn't resist); River Run for monsters who are tall, dark and hairy; and Zombieville, for those who like monsters who are falling apart.

So, you're a high-school kid who's invited to the star-studded grand opening of acres on acres of pure terror.  Do you run away?  Heck no, you dare and double-dare your buddies to see who can be the bravest and stay put the longest end endure the most.

Monsterland is the most fun you can have scaring the pants off yourself.  Garlic pendants on silver chains with a tiny clasp filled with eau de rotting flesh are available in the gift shop on your way into the park.
